Hi, I am thinking of buying the Touch as a playback medium for high resolution 24/96 music files only. I have no interest in archiving CD's so will not need mega storage and will probably have more than one depending on music genre. I imagine I will download music to my laptop and transfer it to a USB devise and take that to my music system and connect to one of the digital inputs on my Wadia 861 CD player and use the internal DAC and volume control to power amp. I have read some of the posts here but did not see anything dated very recently. Is a bus powered unit really a viable option or should I be looking for one with an external power supply - I am only concerned about stabily and being 'plug & play' user friendly, as I am not that computer literate and some of the computer speak on the site is all greek to me. A silent devise would be ideal but I could put it in an adjacent cupboard if necessary.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
