Another vote for the Toshiba Canvio 1TB or any other Toshiba USB powered drive.
As for the WiKi, that chart was created during the Beta and was mainly from the Beta testers connecting anything with a USB plug up to the Touch and seeing what happened. Its not meant for telling people what is best or even what works, again it was to see what the Touch would recognize and what they did when connected.
