Thanks. I still can't see why reducing the buffer size would improve audio. The CPU utilisation is unchanged. Memory is not being paged out/page faulting. If anything, the system will be under more strain/risk trying to manage a buffer that is "on the edge"... ? -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
