Sorry I've come in late on this but I've just registered as a user and thought I would add my two penneth. I have a simlar set up I think. I have a sqeezebox touch set up wirelessly talking to squeezebox server on a PC in another room. On the PC I have all my music and use Winamp to listen in there. Both winamp and squeezebox server are pointing at the same music library. To ceate a playlist I just do so in winamp and once I'm happy with it export it to my playlist folder for squeezebox server. This works for me with no messing around required. Hope this helps.
