No, I don't think that's generally agreed on. I think it is generally agreed the the output of the Touch is comparable to that of modestly priced DACs. Some users think it equals the sound of more expensive DAC's. The Touch has line-outs. Not the same as a pre-out. I think it's designed to be an input to a preamp line-in.
