I got similar feedback from a guy running a QNAP. Could it be an Ubuntu issue? Perhaps those NASs use a better network optimized parametrization?!?! However. Good news from my side. For now I figured out a "workaround" for Ubuntu based servers. I'll put the workaround on my TT-beta-blog as soon as I find some time for it.
