I never said that. I said that if I'm enjoying something, and my peers
are applying peer pressure to try and convince me that I'm not actually
enjoying it, that if I succumb to their pressure I'd be suffering from
low self-esteem.

However, if I hear from someone that there is something nice to be had
over there, of course I'm going to become interested. That's not
suffering from low self-esteem.

For example, I was pretty pleased with my Touch, because I could hear
vast improvements in the sound quality over my Duet. All fine and
dandy. Then, one day, I learn about Soundcheck's mods, and how he and
some other people are raving about the improvements. Add to that the
fact that it costs nothing to try, and before you know it, I ended up
also doing the mods.

And guess what? They work miracles for my system! The sound is much
better, more revealing, I'm hearing oodles of beautiful musical details
that become hidden again the moment I undo the mods.

That much is clear.

Now, there are tight chested naysayers who, out of stupidity of
jealousy or envy, or just out of the fucked up inner need to be
contrarians, insist that I'm full of shit for claiming that I hear
improvements after applying Soundcheck's mods.

To these tight chested people I say a very loud and clear "fuck you!".

That's high self-esteem for ya!
