Maybe setting the server to half-duplex causes less load on Touch eth
interface ?

Full Duplex means that devices is sending and receiving at the same
time, half duplex means that it is receiving or sending to avoid
collisions. I don't remeber it exactly, it is already a long time (15
Years ? :) ) when i was configuring all those Ciscos routers and
switches at my work.

Another issue could be the latency (time between networks packets)
which in 100MBit ethernet is much smaller than in GB Ethernet. I don't
remember it exactly, correct me if i am in a phantasy land.

So, if the server with GB Ethernet is connected to GB switch, than the
switch has to fragment the packages going to Touch connected with
100Mbits Eth. Maybe because of this process some time irregularities
are caused, which have influence on SBT.

I think that all router today have a switch inside, not a hub, so
half-dupley or full-duplex should be not the issue, but who knows :)

It looks like "Soundcheck" wants to squeeze everything out of the
squeezebox :)
