The Nuforce uDAC uses a 16 bit USB receiver, you will either have to use the plug interface (see the first post in the thread) or set samplebits to 16. I have no idea what is going to happen inside the Touch when you set it to 16, I've never tried. The whole volume architecture on the Touch is assuming its using a 24 bit DAC. If you leave the samplebits set to 24 you will HAVE to use the plug interface. In either case it highly recommended to leave the volume control set to 100%, anything less and you will be losing bit resolution with a 16 bit DAC. You are probably much better off using the Touch analog outs rather than this DAC.
