Try a different USB device.  Again, how is it formatted?
Try connecting to MySqueezeBox.com to update the Touch FW.  Touch >
Internet Radio > Local, this should give an option to switch to
MySB.com
On SBS server program go to Control Panel > Diagnostics, what is
reported for ALL pings, ports, IP's? 

Might help to describe your network (wired, WiFi, router, computer, OS,
ISP).
