What if the "cloud" only included the crappy remixes/re-recordings that I find on Amazon sometimes? What really sucks is that you can't listen to the entire track to discern if this is truly the version you are looking for. Usually your only line of defense is to read user reviews of albums to see if they are crying "foul" over the integrity of the songs on the CD/MP3 album/whatever. Of course not every album is going to have user reviews...I've been there.
Also, as someone pointed out, who wants to be stuck buying or downloading overly-compressed music? I only use Amazon for hard-to-find single tracks, usually for compilation albums that I create on my external HDDs. I gladly use HD Tracks when something I really want pops up in their catalog. Alas, the popularity of the MP3 has made that a less than viable alternative most of the time. Returning to Guido F's original post; indeed, the Touch has been a revelation. I used to have all of my CD booklets packed into three extremely heavy CD folders. All were in alphabetical order, and were numbered by disc. While this made it easier to pick CDs from my 300 disc player, grabbing my iPod Touch and loading iPeng makes it pretty much the ideal way to listen to music. -- starfury ------------------------------------------------------------------------ starfury's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=37465 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85651 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
