It does not rule out the NAS. afaik ALAC is transcoded on the server if
you use a server due to some bugginess in Touch alac cabalities , this
may change or already have changed with more recent firmware.
So try the server running on a pc .
I have no hirez alac so I don't know how the 7.6 beta Works rigth now,
where decoding is done server or player and if th alac decoder on th
player is improved and stable.
