Hi to all old and new readers to this drawn out saga, I have a brief update for you: - This morning I followed GazJam's advice - it was necessary to do 2 'Wipe and Rescans' and one 'Factory Reset' but since that time I've had the Touch running continuously over 6 hours now and the screen is still showing what the screen should show. Gaz and I are both keeping everything crossed so please feel free to join us in this posture. I intend to keep it running all night and if it is still behaving itself in the morning I'll declare the problem 'Solved' and post accordingly. Meanwhile thanks for your interest and advice.
