Hi I am using a QNAP TS210 NAS with SB Server software installed in the NAS. I am currently ripping about 400 CDs of my 800 collection into FLAC.
All is going well in terms of the SBS scanning for new and changed files etc but yesterday I ripped new CDs with album art (covers.jpeg) as I always have. I did a rescan for new or changed files. All files were picked up but the album art was not although all art was in the album folder. Nothing has changed from my other 390 rips. I had to do a clear library for SBS to pick up those album covers. That took about 45 mins owing to SBS in NAS. My question is: is this normal as my library size increases? My NAS is not powerful enough and as my file size increases, I will continue to have issues with the album art not being picked up? I am considering getting a Vortexbox Appliance which is a much more powerful box for my flac streaming if this will help. Your thoughts.
