Actually, just adding a cheap DAC (never mind a high end one) improves the sound of the Touch, which is a bit on the grainy side. When I first heard the sound of the Touch analogue outputs it reminded me of a cheapish CD player - that's after years of being used to a NAD SACD player. Sure, it's better than most hard media players, but that really doesn't say much does it. So I added a DACMagic to the Touch (by no means a high end DAC, very cheap but great for the price, and it can accept 24/96 incoming unlike the V-DAC) and the sound was transformed, much closer to my NAD. I would certainly encourage anyone to modify the Touch if not using an external DAC. -- Dave1972 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dave1972's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44446 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=83412 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
