OK so I am just very puzzled by this then. It is as if the rcS script is not being run(!). I have tried putting the command /etc/init.d/ntpclient start & elsewhere in the rcS script and also tried putting it in a separate script (rcS.local) that is called by the rcS script, but nothing I do manages to get ntp up and running at boot time. Surely I am missing something foolish here?? (Does this work for anyone else?)
