You could also try using FAT32 instead of NTFS, FAT seems to be more Touch friendly.
Tags, file consistency, and file organization are important for any database program. The less capable/powerful the database (TinySBS) the more important these factors become. If you owned three different business' and each had their own filing and organization setup plus ran on three different computer programs you would also "crash" at tax time. ;) Tagging programs like MP3Tag can batch convert all ID3 tag versions into a single consistent ID3 version.
