Try pushing and holding the reset button on the back for at least 15
seconds. This will initiate a factory reset (IF the device is working
at all)

If still nothing then it is probably really dead and needs to be
replaced. 

If you really want to try debugging you need a scope and meter and
start probing around the voltage regulators and see if they are
outputting appropriate voltages etc. Check if oscillators are really
oscillating etc.

Even if you do find a defective part replacing it can be very tough,
especially without the right SMD rework tools. 

If the factory reset doesn't work its probably best to go for another.
