It is confusing: That favorite list used to be mapped to buttons on the squeezebox ir remote you could have as many as you liked as you used remotes just press 22 or something .
The con where that they where only one favorite list for each server . So it was shared for all players on that server Then they decided to go for per player "presets" on all players ? but they are only as many as there are buttons on the player and can not be edited in the web-UI ? Presets makes most sense on radio and boom as it have buttons for it. We all wished for the option to keep per player favorites but got this instead. For a while it was so that boom had presets and SB3 still had favorites mapped to buttons ( I liked it this way ) . The old favorite list can still be used as a menu on all players so it still functioning but not directly mapped to buttons. These things are per server, I'm not aware if mysb.com synkronize presets or keep it's own settings per player I do know that the favorite list is different , due to that it can be local files on the local server no such thing is possible on mysb.com. But on the local server the local favorite list has a link to your mysb.com favorites which is nice . For further confusion the the number buttons on an SB ir remote is now jumping to some random menu when pressed on fast when holding a while a preset is used if you hold to long you are probably saving what you are playing as a preset, blowing away the preset you wanted to hear. The UI is broken on SB3 they should have kept favorites mapped to buttons for SB3.
