Yes Touch is able to be a server to other squeezeboxes to if it is on
the same network.
This happens when the HD is conected to the Touch itself, if you want
the hd at the pc the pc has to be server.
You may also mount the usb drive as a network share on your pc ,when
it's conected to the Touch to move files to it.

The thougth was that this way you could have squeezeboxserver without
any pc running a beatifull idea, but the limited memory and cpu on
Touch makes it less likely to work and the lack of some features really
makes it unusable for some of us.

So I use the Touch like any other player on my server, it's well worth
it's price as a player only, even if the USB feature may be the thing
that sold it to some folks :-/
It can stil be used in some limited fashion i a friend brings an usb
stick with music, but i would just copy it to my main server..
Well the silver lining is that it may be underpowered for server use
but sligthly over powered for player use this makes menus snappy and
fast and it has headroom for more features and third party apps in the
future.
