I think this is related to the 'nil by ear' thread. I can replicate your issue (and its solution) on my touch. When my touch loses connection to MYSB (which I *think* is a capacity issue at Logi EU West datacentre), it renames itself as 'nil'. At that point, I cannot connect to MYSB.com and get only the 'jink' in the screen when I try. All other devices connect fine at that point (but have not been renamed 'nil'. A factory reset cures it all. For the moment (but it happens again every - single - day (arrgh!).
I use fixed IP and have a rock solid 35MB connection (with over a month's continuous uptime).
