Sorry to crash your party :) the official app you run for your Touch
have most of it's heavy lifting done on logitechs own servers (or
spotifys who knows) .

But the third party app is using some cpu cycles it decrypt and
converts some high bitrate encrypted ogg to something usefull for the
old players .
This plugin is simply to much for the cpu in Touch to manage.

The old generation players are very "slim" (hence the old name) almost
no brain almost everything is done by the server .
