I do have a mix of old and new players 5 in total . And I use Triode spotify plugin exclusively works great. I hesitated to use before there was an official app, now I have a fallback solution (the official app ) if the plugin looses it support for some reason, Triode could find other interests in life or be hit by a buss or whatever he is only one person afaik. I usually don't hesitate to use third party plugins at all they are often of very high quality Triode spotify is a good example where it exceeds the official app in functionality. But it is a monthly subscription fee involved, so it feels good that spotify is officially supported by logitech.
While standalone solutions seems nifty, when you have a large local library and many players , a real servers seems to be the more optimal solution . These small computers are getting more able each year.
