I've noticed that if I start randon songs, then scroll back and forth to start another set of random songs, there is less chance of the repeats appearing. If I do this several times, I seem to get a completely fresh playlist and even some songs in the playlist from the depths of my library that have not been played in ages. Or maybe I am just convincing myself that that is the case :-)
