Well, the cost would be quite different. I have the audioengine A5's
connected to a TOUCH and it sounds very, very good. These are much
cheaper than the Monitor Audio speakers AND with the audioengine, you
do NOT need an amplifier.  So I'm guessing you'd spend about $300 for
the AE and you'd spend more like $800 for the other speakers and
amp/preamp.  The monitor audio speakers look a bit nicer in that they
have grill covers. There are no covers on the AE5 speakers.
