I'm very, very happy with the combination of a Topping (Tripath) amp with a pair of the Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 speakers (still on sale at Superfi for £99).
Main snag is that these speakers only now come in black and a rather nasty dark wood - but the sound-per-pound for this combination is brilliant! Did quite a bit of reading up on reviews and comments, and to be honest felt a bit nervous ordering the Topping amp via ebay from Hong Kong, but it arrived in good time and sounds great. Lots of models to choose from - I have a TP30 as I'm using it as an external DAC with an O2 Joggler running Squeezeplay, but as a single-source amp the TP21 (or similar Muse M21) might work well with the MA speakers? At the price it may be worth ordering one just to experiment with??
