Hello,

This may have been covered before so forgive me in advance. I've just
installed Ubuntu 10.10 on an Asus 900A Atom based laptop. I've
installed the Logitech Server 7.7.71 and that's running. The intention
is to host all of music on an external USB drive. As a test I've a
small 80G drive that I've formatted under Ubuntu. The exercise is now
to write my music files from a Windows PC. I've made a folder called
'flac' on the drive but am having difficulties accessing this from the
windows pc on my network.

i) I can see the flac folder (from Windows) but can't access it. I've
installed Samba config, but not sure exactly how to set the
permissions/server... sambaserver?

As a test I've added some of the root folders and I can access those.
so the issue is with the automatically mounted USB drive/folder.

Second issue:

ii) I can't browse to the newly created folder from within the Logitech
Settings. eg. New Volume\flac. So this is a second issue.

Reference is to use the gui tools but I want a resolution and ideally
understanding as to why this isn't working.

Thanks in advance

Alan
