You are not using the phono input ? ( don't it's different ). Is the SBT much louder than the old cyrys CDP ?
Try to use lower volume on the volume on the Touch 50-70 percent as experiment ? What I'm getting at is if you are overdriving the input. i have no clue about the cyrys design and whats suposed to be maximum input voltage. SBT is not very hot, but it is not unknown to overdrive it is usually some cultish tube designs that have this problem not well enginered stuff, so a low level possibility.
