The LMS not seeing a player is usually a firewall issue. The server and
player both send out a broadcast message using UDP to try and find each
other. Its fairly common for routers and firewalls to block UDP. This
brings up the interesting situation where it can play music because
TCP/IP is open, but they can't find each other because UDP is blocked.

It might be an issue with both server and player connecting over wifi.
Some routers have a setting that lets wifi clients talk to the internet
but not to each other. In addition some routers have different firewall
rules for wifi than for wired connections.

As a test try plugging both the computer and the Touch into the router
with ethernet cables. You will need to change the network connection on
the Touch to ethernet rather than wifi, it does not automatically
switch. Make sure the laptop is also connecting via ethernet, make sure
to turn off any wifi connection. First don't even worry about the
remotes, just try and get the server and player to talk to each other
and play music from the server. If this works then it is almost
certainly a router setting issue. If this doesn't work try turning off
the firewall in the computer temporarily.

Let us know what happens with the test and we can go from there.
