Thanks. i wouldn't know where to begin to modify it (might need a degree in IR protocols!). The funny thing is that my file works perfect with the SB3 and i am using the same emitter. I did try different emitters and going direct to the amps IR in port.
i suppose it is possible the power output on the headphone jack is different on the Touch compared to the SB3. i have seen that with other devices but that's a guess. or i suppose it could be a format issue. In the log i don't see any obvious errors. the wiki says the conf has to be RC5 and NEC native formats - mine is native but don't know if strictly adheres to those formats. BTW, i hadn't heard the touch only works for on/off.
