There are no schematics available and certainly no maintenance manuals.
What people know has been determined by tracing wires and using ohm
meters etc. 

There IS a DC to DC converter in there, it takes the raw 5V and ups it
to around 10V, which is then regulated back down to 5V for the analog
chips. 

I don't think there is anybody that knows what you will have damaged by
putting 12V on it. Components obviously physically damaged of course,
but there could well be others that are damaged but you cannot see it.
Its really hard to tell at this point. If a regulator failed and put
the full 12V on its output, you have probably damaged everything it
drove. 

If JUST the DC to DC converter was fried you are probably all right,
because the regulator that follows it routinely handles 10V input, so
it can probably handle 12V.

At this point I would say there is probably a good probability the
Touch is toast, but you might have gotten lucky.
