I finally scanned my collection from a laptop PC on the router attached HDD It was quite long (2 days) but you don't scan every day (hopefully). My problem is that the scan shows around 55 000 files, so around 10 000 files are missing. What should I do ? I'm not happy with this solution either as it is immobilizing a laptop that I like to move around, and I m not sure leaving it running 24/7 is a viable solution for this laptop longevity.
Still looking for NAS I'm interested in Synology 412+.
