If the digital output selection option did not ask you about using a hub then it is probably class 2 as the dialog is intended to be inteligent and only ask when required. Anyway go back to it and select the dac again - it should show an info page for the usb dac and if the top line include "high" speed then it is a class 2 dac and no hub is needed.
