Another alternative is a decent NAS (Network Atached Storage). It is basically a bunch of hard drives connected to the network. The advantage is that it provides redundancy should one of the drives fail. (You still need a backup system for 100% fail save). The second advantage is that you can run LMS on the NAS to serve your Squeezeboxes. And a third advantage is that a NAS is a set it up and forget kind of system. No need to install OS patches or updates every month or so. There are plenty of NAS's out there that support LMS. Just pick one with an x86 architecture so that you have plenty of horse power.
