I don't like to tweak either, thus my reason for using Squeezebox stuff. Back before I had SB players, I used a small computer with USB out to a good DAC. But even then, it was never clear to me that my WinXP machine and soundcard wasn't doing some sort of 44.1 > 48 conversion. And I do use multiroom, so going back to that would be a problem for me. And as far as I know, they don't make a SSD large enough to hold my music collection (70,000 mostly FLAC tracks and I'm only halfway done ripping my CDs). I need several TB of disk space. this said, if I was to return to a computer player with USB, I'd probably build it around a FitPCi. Small, powerful, and silent. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94512 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
