I guess I should have qualified the statement "...I'm happy". I'm not as concerned as I would be if I was still in the middle of building my system. I really only have one room where I could use a squeezebox (dining room) but it's used so infrequently (1 maybe 2 days per year) it really isn't necessary.
Yes, if one of my squeezeboxes croaked, I'd have a hard time finding a replacement. Booms haven't been made for a while, so I've been in that boat anyway. squeezeplayer software for iPods and Andriod devices could soften this blow. My daughter, if she had to, could use her iPod as her squeezebox. One day she may perfer this anyway. Yes, trust takes time to build and can be lost in a single moment. I've been leary over the past year about the future of squeezebox. I was hoping that the recent announcement was going to restore confidence. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, but rather than totally blowing it, it's taken what I considered a very unexpected turn. I'm still curious to see what happens, but I have very little bordering on no hope of the product line being what it once was.
