Thanks for thereply Triode. That's EXACTLY what the problem was, I assumed my Dac did 96k over USB as it does over SPDIF. Ah well.
Love the improvement playing via USB...sounds fantastic! Noticably better than SPDIF into my Dac. One thing I'd like to ask? When I tried to play a 96k file I got the "unsupported sample rate" message - fair enough. I had thought though that my Touch would downsample it to a playable 16/44 (as it should do with unplayable sample rates...) Is there a setting in EDO to downsample a 96k file to 16/44 so that it can be played via USB, getting the sound quality benefits even though my Dac does not do 96k using USB?
