Dear Mnyb, Thanks for clarifying the "myth" about AIFF transcoding. For the avoidance of doubt, please see my understanding below is correct or not:-
1. For 24/96 music files in AIFF format, it is required to be transcoded by LMS to FLAC (via ffmpeg). Current LMS does not support native streaming of 24/96 (or higher) AIFF files. 2. The transcoding between two lossless formats will not affect the sound quality. 3. We can safely ignore the message about 705k in the More Info section. Having said that, I am still not sure whether the transcoding will down sample the music file. My Anedio DAC indicates that all the 16/44, 24/96 and 24/192 AIFF music files will be down sampled to 48 kHz after such transcoding. Is this the same situation as paragraph 3 above so that we can safely ignore the 48 kHz message (as such information becomes misleading or irrelevant after transcoding)?
