I don't have time to read this whole thread! But is this 192k digital output (version 0.7) currently working, safe to install, easy to uninstall, robust, etc? The warning about installation of a custom linux kernel scares me a bit. I have a Bushmaster Beresford DAC which will handle 24bit 192k output, and ONE album encoded in this format that just won't play otherwise, so I'd like to try it.
