Did manage to work this out. Found that my musicip was pointed at a different location than lms. My music is on an external hd (L) and lms was pointed to C:\Documents and Settings\Linda\My Documents\My Music which contains a shortcut to L:music. Musicip gui does not show the shortcut when I go to add songs so it was pointed to L:music. I added L:music to the LMS scan, did a clear and rescan and now have musicip working.
