If you're that keen on using asynchronous USB then try a M2Tech HiFace2 out of the back of the Touch, and hook up to the DAC using coax SPDIF. I have listened to a Touch/HiFace2 to DAC, and compared it to the Touch connected via its own SPDIF and heard no difference, but ymmv as always ;)
