I'm understand now, but the Touch is never de-powered unless there's a
power cut, which coincidentally(!) happened 4 times within 2 minutes
recently.

It seems that the NAS wasn't set to GMT after the firmware update. Fair
enough, not the Touch's fault, but what I don't understand is why the
Touch has the correct time after a factory reset, but changes it only
after receiving tracks from the NAS LMS. It was connected to the NAS
during the initial setup & the NAS isn't de-powered either, so is always
available. (Actually, the main reason I bought the ReadyNAS...)

Perhaps it did & I didn't notice, but in any event the Touch should have
an option as to how it deals with differing times from the available
update sources. A few minutes doesn't really matter, but the Touch
should alert the user when a source indicates it's many hours off from
the current Touch time.

I mean, the Touch records how long it's been 'up', so should be aware of
how many times it's checked the time. OOI how often does the Touch
check?
