The "remote control out of reach" strategy is working well for the older squeezebox we have in the other room. I'm trying not to do things that would hamper my wife's or my own use of the Touch though. A remote control on the power is a possibility but for power supply and socket location reasons I'd prefer to leave that as a last resort.
I guess I'm just a little surprised that such a function is not standard - it is on personal portable devices like phones, pads, etc, so why not have it on a static device?. Mind you, that excellent Register article should really be telling me that the person most likely to be constrained by a password lock would be me! Anyway, I'll hold out a little hope in case such an App does already exist that I'm yet to find. Thanks for your help in the meantime though.
