I should clarify that when the skipping problem occurred (as described above), I was only listening to music from the Touch (USB) and it was not steaming to the radios. (The radios were connected to mysqueezebox.com.) Does this imply the Touch does not have the processing power to convert local FLAC files without problems?
Tonight I had various problems again both with the squeezeboxes and internet service. The wireless network was very slow. Even connecting the router was slow and connecting to webpages was slow. While playing music from the Touch (USB), suddenly the message connecting to Touch (USB) appeared; but is was already connected to the Touch(USB). I could not change to other albums. It took several attempts of shutting down TinyLMS and restarting it again to restore functionality. I should note, this time the 2 radios were connected to Touch (USB) but they were off; i.e. I was not streaming music to them. Disconnecting the radios from Touch (USB) seemed to restore the speed of my wireless network. The system work fine for the last 4 days, then suddenly problems again. I am a cautious about getting a NAS as I hear they can also be problematic. I see the vortexbox costs $400-500. I am not sure it is worth spending that much money on a product line that has been discontinued and future support is unknown. I might wait for these Olive One devices. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ P Nelson's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58158 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97768 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
