I am testing 2 almost identical DACs, and one of them will not show up
as a digital output device. The other one works perfectly.

I enabled logging (applet.enhanceddigitaloutput=debug,
audio.output=debug), and rebooted. /var/log/messages only shows the
following when plugging in:

Feb 5 18:35:41 kernel: usb 1-1: new high speed USB device using
fsl-ehci and address 7
Feb 5 18:35:42 kernel: usb 1-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
Feb 5 18:35:42 kernel: input: Naim Audiophilleo Naim DAC-V1.
Audiophilleo.com as /class/input/input8
Feb 5 18:35:42 kernel: input: USB HID v1.11 Keyboard [Naim Audiophilleo
Naim DAC-V1. Audiophilleo.com] on usb-fsl-ehci.0-1

The same messages are shown for the working DAC, so there simply does
not appear to be sufficient debug info to touble shoot the problem.
Snopping USB traffic also shows similar results, so it is unclear why
this particular DAC won't get recognized.

Is there a version of the plugin with more detailed debug logging? Or
is there a way to enable more detailed logging?

Thanks
Phil
