I've had the Touch for some months so it was set up correctly initially. Yesterday, the music (local server) I was playing just stopped. It does that now and again but then starts up again. I've no idea what causes the drop-outs. Only yesterday it didn't start again, I just got an error message that it couldn't find a wireless connection. At first, it still displayed the clock, but then that disappeared as well.
On the screen to choose network type, if I choose wireless it finds my home network no problem, but when I try and connect it asks for my password, which I enter (correctly) - either ascii or hex - but I get the message "Can't connect - we were unable to connect using the above password". The password is correct though. I'm using WPA2 encryption. I have other devices on the network, including a Squeezebox Radio, and all are working fine, so it's not a signal strength problem. I tried connecting via ethernet and going through the Connect to Ethernet network screen, but still got an error message about not being able to find a wireless connection, until I returned it to factory settings. I can now get to mysqueezebox.com via ethernet but when I go back to trying to connect wirelessly, it just goes back to what it was before - it can see the network but won't connect. The password is correct. The touch is only some 6 feet from the router, about a third of the distance of the Radio. If I set the wireless encryption to "open", the Touch can connect to the network, set it back to WPA2 and it doesn't connect. This was working yesterday and nothing on the router has been changed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cdeford's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=52192 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98134 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
