Is it just me or does the Touch digital RCA out sound better with the EDO implemented on redbook 16/44.1? I installed EDO for an upcoming USB to Spdif converter. What I heard was a disappearance of a nagging upper midrange brittleness and the dynamics are through the roof. Is there a consensus on improvement on redbook through spdif out or was the electricity just special last night?
My Soundcheck toolbox setting for buffer at 3400 was changed to 20000. I tried to change it back to 3400 through ssh into the Touch from Soundcheck's toolbox but it would not change. I went into the EDO settings and made buffer small which changed it to 4000 when I looked in the Toolbox with ssh. Is a lower buffer better and is it not supposed to be changeable through Soundcheck's Toolbox anymore?
