Well, a Logitech UE SmartRadio will do much of what a Touch does so long
as you're not interested in an external DAC. Just plug a stereo patch
cord between the SmartRadio headphone output and a high-level input on
your amplifier/receiver. You'll get basically the same local music
library and internet radio functionality as with a Touch. Same
iOS/Android controller apps as well. Limited to 24/48 if that matters.

A cheaper and somewhat DIY alternative is a Raspberry Pi running
SqueezePlug/Squeezelite. It has an analog audio output or you can plug
in a cheap external USB DAC.

My guess is that Logitech is financially incapable at this point of any
significant investment in the UE line; it's probably not seen as part of
their strategic growth plan either. Who knows?

Where did you see an announcement about mysqueezebox.com support?
Thanks.
