Every so often, when a track has ended, my Touch produces a blast of what sounds like white noise. It's very loud, very unpleasant, and probably not good for my speakers.
It appears to affect FLAC versions of some tracks, but not mp3, and is repeatable for an affected track. I had thought it might be an issue with tracks stored on my NAS, either due to some sort of degradation, or some problem at the time of ripping, but, for a given affected track, this doesn't happen with any of my other players (Radio, SB3), and yesterday it happened at the end of a track playing from Spotify. I don't believe it's occurred between tracks, only at the end of a selected single track (but I'd need to confirm that doesn't happen). I need to do some more investigation (perhaps changing from WiFi to wired, changing server...), but in the meantime: any ideas what might be causing this, or has anyone experienced a similar issue? I wonder if it's to do with the Touch's internal switching for different rates etc., however this would is seemingly intermittent yet affecting particular tracks. TIA, Dave.
