Yes very high compression rate FLAC at 96k can couse glitches on a TP so
some affected users have recoded their 24/96 flac files to -5 or -0 .
This can be done losslely on your files so you don’t have to rerip them
and does not affect their quality . Or you could set LMS to send PCM
over the network .
This is not a common issue but it exists .

So OP can still enjoy his classic TP with SoX transcoded hirez files in
the rare cases of 24/196 (or 76.4 ) files or build something computer
based to use with squeezelite or get an used Touch and use with EDO .
